Another day in the cellar trying to move soggy boxes away from the standing water that seems to be no less deep, despite a dry day yesterday. The cellar actually has a sump, which unfortunately appears to be at the highest point because it is the driest space! A skip is ordered for next week to get rid of the piles of rubbish accumulating outside the house from all the decluttering. Also plenty more stuff for the hospice shed.

This chair has been in the cellar since before I moved into the house. The image was taken without a flash, just with the light of a torch and then the exposure was increased slightly to brighten the image. I’m not overly found of cellars; they can feel unworldly and I wanted to capture something of that.
