This is the first of a series of five shirts that will make up part of my installation. This shirt represents the first stage of grief; Shock. The shirt is currently being treated with fabric stiffener so that it can be removed from the mannequin and hung from the shoulders, so it appears as though it is floating. I’m busy stitching shirt 4 at the moment, with still lots to do before degree deadlines which are fast approaching. It will be exciting to see the final piece come together later in May.
