Friday saw the opening of the Barnsley Hospice’s Celebration of Life exhibition, hosted to mark 20 years since the hospice first opened its doors.
I was flattered to be asked to take part in the exhibition, when it was first being planned many months ago. I thought I would be busy with my final year at university and maybe would not have time to take part. After suspending my studies, I was proud to be able to make the piece and see it on the wall with other artist’s work, especially as the subject is so near to my heart.
The opening night at Brevon Arts in Doncaster was a great success. The exhibition runs at the gallery until 29th March 2014, when it moves on to a new venue.
