Cooper Gallery Art Auction
My book Plane Site was exhibited at the Cooper Gallery 4th – 24th June 2022 before being auctioned together with another 80 art works donated by artists to raise money for the the conservation and preservation of the gallery’s collection and building.

Recipes Under Confinement
The excellent MA Bibliothèque has published a cookbook in response to a call for recipes being prepared during lockdown. My entry, based on a Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall dish is included together with 114 others. The recipes included are wide and varied, being offered by artists, writers, poets, art historians and editors to name a few. Profits from the sale of the book go to the tremendous, hard-working Trussell Trust, providing food and toiletries to those most in need. You can order your copy here:

The Cooper Prize Exhibition
I am pleased to report that my entry into this competition has been selected for the exhibition. My work will be on display from 20th March -12th June 2021 and can be seen at https://www.flickr.com/photos/barnsleymuseums/51041756303/in/album-72157718704568698/
My artist’s book, part of my Crossing project, charts the progress of my exploration of the trans-migration route between Grimsby and Liverpool in the 19th and 20th Centuries.

Knitting and Stitching Show Self Portrait Competition
I am very pleased to report that my entry to this competition was commended. Voting is still open for the Public Choice Award for this competition. My portrait is all hand stitched and took many weeks to complete. The winner of the Public Choice Award will be announced on 16th December 2020.

Animal Party
The super talented Heliya Badakhshan has curated Animal Party, a one day event of art and music to be held at Victoria Works in Sheffield. My new work, the first iteration of my on-going project Crossing, will be exhibited. It would be great if you could go along and support the event. Ticket sales end on 14th February. Thanks to the National Costume Doll Museum for supporting Crossing, with source material.



Festival of Quilts 2019
All packed up and ready to go. For the first time I am entering the Festival of Quilts, in two categories; the Two Person Quilt, with my great friend and collaborator Janet Bottomley @aquiltersjournal, where we have entered The Male Perspective and Quilt Creations, where I have entered my porcelain tile and textile sculpture Chest. The show runs from 1st-4th August 2019 at the NEC.

Tools For Change Makers Residency
I am super excited to be heading off to the T4CM conference in Caux in Switzerland, where I have a residency in July 2019, exploring ideas around national/cultural identity and beginning the research for my new project about national costume dolls.

Sheffield Hallam University Degree Show
The degree show runs from 15th June 2019- 29th June 2019. My work is featured as part of the show in the MA section of the exhibition at the Head Post Office/Sheffield Institute of Arts and includes The Civic pigeon, a project inspired by my residency at The Civic, Barnsley. Pages New Voices: A gathering of artists’ books
My artist book The Civic Pigeon- Results of Soft Surveillance has been included in the Pages Collection. They can be seen at ROAR in Rotherham until 21st March 2019, then at Doncaster Art Gallery and Museum on Saturday 23rd March where there will be a talk at 11am. The books will be on display there until 29th March 2019. Finally, there will be a talk at the Cooper Gallery in Barnsley at 11am on 30th March 2019, and the books will be on display until 6th April 2019.

International Contemporary Artists’ Book Fair at The Tetley
I’m very excited to say that (x,0) archive; a new venture with fellow artist Jan Hopkins will be exhibiting at the Tetley Book fair this weekend ( 11am-5pm 2nd and 11am-4pm, 3rd March 2019). I will be showing my new book ‘The Civic Pigeon’, which has arisen from my residency at The Civic in Barnsley.

Some fabulous work to be seen by artists at all stages of their careers, at this one day extravaganza at the Food Hall in Sheffield. I will have some porcelain pieces on show.

Liz West – Colourfield Barnsley Civic
As part of Liz West’s wonderful exhibition, she invited local artists to submit their interpretation of the colour wheel. You can see my work as part of this project in the exhibition, which runs until 22nd December 2018.
